 Children's
Books and Activities
An entire
floor is dedicated to children's books. Our
children's collection, divided into three broad
categories - very young readers, young readers and young
adult, has something for every child. An eclectic
collection of encyclopedia and reference books are sure
to be of great help in school projects.
We believe that a library should nurture reading in
children. We have carefully designed events for our young
readers. While the storytelling sessions are geared for
the very young, in a segment named 'Read On', we introduce
older children to classics, literature, and poetry, which
they may not pick up on their own.
For our mature readers, we have a philosophy club 'Mind
Share', which meets once a month. Discussions range
from Osho to Kant. There are 'Meet
the Author' sessions where our readers get to interact with
writers.
Review and Recommend
If you recommend a book to the
library, we try our best to source it and give you the
first opportunity to read the book. We also provide an
opportunity for readers to share their views on the
books they are reading.
